If the ground was sloped like stadium seating would be, that would’ve made seeing above others’ heads much easier.
Standing for well over 3 hours packed in with hundreds of people with no option to sit (like most venues would have), was extremely uncomfortable.īeing able to see the stage was kind of okay. This venue is all open-air with walls surrounding all sides and no roof. Thankfully, it didn’t end up raining on us.
Adam rambles at times, perhaps he could feel that the crowd just wasn't with him. I was really looking forward to this show, and left half-way through. The band: Well, it was 90degrees outside, the crowd sucked, and the venue was unsupportive, and the band did the best they could.

I've seen some great shows from inside the Stone Pony, but the summer stage flat out sucks. Rude crowd, drunk and spilling beer on our feet, non-stop talk, pushing forward to pack people up front because you can't see from anywhere else. on 8/10/22 Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury Park Love the Pacific Amphitheater venue though. It was disappointing and unfortunately, I probably won't go to another one of their concerts. It was like a broadway performance, not a concert. The entire group behind us kept trying to sing along and they were all off because the beat was off. It was like Adam was speaking the lyrics and not singing them.
We didn't like how all the songs weren't played with the same beat that we all know and love them.
